

Soldier ManI once knew a soldier man, he laughed and drank and danced. He was a gleeful happy cad, prideful true and glad. But then a tragedy hit the land, in shrapnel steel 'n fire. My soldier man must go to war, for glory honor and more. I saw him off that day he left, t'was in a happy mood. The plane flew off to a distant land, where he'd make his name grand. Each day went by with a new letter, I got from my soldier man, He was not yet put on the front. He did not take the brunt.Soldier Man
